[D] Reading an actual book

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. "People may notice site slowdown/cache error pages. We're working on fixing. You can help: finish posts at 3k comments, not 5k or more." - Dreamwidth@Twitter

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Hey! Do not post anything outside of these threads. It will be deleted.
Go be cute and fun and fun and funny over here.

Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck | Disney comics

(Anonymous) 2012-12-24 10:14 am (UTC)(link)
From Don Rosa's comics and by extension, Carl Bark's. I've been itching to play both of them lately so any advice for either of the two would be awesome.

Canon point-wise, I'd like to play both young and old Scrooge -- post Dreamtime Duck of the Never-Never and A Letter from Home respectively, maybe?

I don't think Donald changes that much in the comics so I haven't thought of a canon point for him.

* Carl Barks's

I swear I can spell his name correctly.

eeeee...! Someone who shares the same love for Donald Duck as me! I've been itching to play him (or perhaps one of the Caballeros) but I haven't touched the comics.

Only have seen the movies/cartoons but I'll be interested in how yours turns out!

!!!

One of the Caballeros, eh? I'm not too familiar with them outside of their few appearances in the comics but I absolutely adored them in Rosa's The Magnificent Seven (minus 4) Caballeros. :')

If you get the chance to, you should check out the comics. Don't mind me, I just want more people to read Don Rosa's works.

Ahhh! I recently read The Magnificient Seven (minus 4) Caballeros and it made love Donald. He's just so adorable and it's not really his fault that everything bad happens to him (he's just unlucky :\).

But yes! I will indeed check them out!

He really is unlucky, isn't he? He's basically a magnet for trouble, though that's one of the reasons I like him so much.

Excellent! I believe you can find a collection of his stuff on the Pirate Bay or IsoHunt, if you prefer the piracy route. Idk where to buy them in English though. There used to be a site that had them all available for reading online but it seems to have been taken down.
