Rebuild 3.0 comes out in less than a week! Any chance this will draw some of those elusive Eva players out?

Probably not. Eva is just too difficult to RP from when the characters are outside of their setting. I really praise those who try and succeed at it but I don't see it becoming a big thing.

Respectfully disagreeing with above anon here. I've seen Eva characters working outside the setting before, and we've already got a few reserves for next round at my game. Considering bringing out some of my own muses, too, so the canon's certainly not dead by any means.

I miss playing Asuka. So, so much.

That said, I'm not sure if this is a trivial thing or not, but I'm going to throw it out there: does anyone care when Soryu players use Shikinami icons? I've used them, myself, and felt self-conscious, so I'd like to know opinions!

I don't mind it, personally. Though I will admit liking consistency in one way or another -- either a set entirely from one source (regardless of the version of that character being played), or a good mix of a bunch of sources. Having just a few that don't fit what would otherwise be a matched set would bug me endlessly.

That's just a personal preference though. Other people are free to do as they like, and honestly I'm so desperate for castmates at this point that I could care less what icons they're using.

I've used Shikinami icons, but only the ones where she's in civilian clothes, since her plugsuit is different. Her expressions are a bit more subdued for more dramatic threads.

hopefully. it seems like all the eva muses are already in games or just don't care enough to actually play. we got an asuka in a small game i was in a while ago but she idled out after one post, and all the posts i've hit up in the evangelion tag on dear-mun get dropped pretty quickly too. it's really depressing, honestly. i just want to play with some castmates.

I've considered trying, but I've got too much shit going on right now. It might be fun one day, though. I'd like to see if I could, for any actual length of time, maintain the bizarre mix of self-loathing and narcissism I think exists at the heart of this kid. (Series version, wouldn't touch the Rebuild version until it's finished.)

(On the subject of icons above, I usually can't tell the difference between the two for whatever my .02's worth.)

I've been meebling over playing Misato again. I've played her in two games and was successful-ish and Asuka in another, but my activity was so abysmal, I could never get them where I wanted them. I think I just need the right game.
