I got dragged into a psl where my character played a master with - in essence - a submissive apprentice figure. There were the vaguest hint of sexual overtones with his apprentice which turned him into a submissive but we never actually explored that.

Ever since this afternoon Firefox has been lagging a ton. Sometimes when I load a new page or tab, it'll hang for about 30 seconds, freezing the entire browser before finally loading. This happens sometimes when I switch to a new tab or close a tab, too. As it is, the browser is essentially unusable.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, disabling all add-ons, changing settings in config, and sometimes that fixes things for about 5 minutes before the problem comes back. I've done full malware and virus scans, nothing comes up.

Is anyone else having this problem right now, or have you had this problem in the past and fixed it? If there are other people, maybe it's a temporary problem with a fix coming...if not, I'm googling my problem and seeing tons of support requests with no answers and frustrated users switching browsers. I don't really like any other browser, so I hope I won't have to do that.

I'm currently writing up a Dragonriders of Pern meme for bakerstreet, and because of reasons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragons_(Pern)#Fandom_Considerations) I've decided to include some non-canon options for dragon colors/temperaments/etc.

So, um. Is there anything you'd want to see from Pern dragons that they fail to cover? I've already come up with a handful, but would appreciate any other ideas. ty in advance

don't go overly in-depth with this, honestly. and i hate to be debby downer, but as much as i love me some pern, even then it sounds like it might be a flop because it requires thinking and we all know how good rpers tend to be at that.

that being said, i wish you the best of luck. but don't overwhelm people with in-universe details, it'll make people much less likely to tag. i really, really want it to succeed though, so hopefully people will stop tagging the other 9000 porn/tfln/fad memes to give this one a second look.

I'm an undergraduate anon, currently majoring in English like everyone else, and for my women's literature class, I'm doing a research paper on female writers in the genres of science fiction and fantasy. So if any of you guys have published novels/short stories in these genres, I'd love to talk to you and perhaps give you a short survey.

Writers of hard and soft science fiction, high fantasy, urban fantasy, gothic horror, and YA fantasy/sci-fi welcome!
