I'm looking for a game for Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII.

-- No sex games or games set in dreams
-- Slow or medium paced
-- Easy AC
-- A plot or something to help introverted characters get involved
-- Cast mates would be nice but not necessary
-- AU is fine

Might I interest you in sortinghat_rp? It's an AU set in the Harry Potter universe a year or so after Voldemort's first defeat by baby Potter. Characters play students and, when apps are open for it, teachers set in the HP universe. It fulfils your listed criteria and while we don't have castmates we do have fantastic cross canon CR. Sorting Hat, while it does not have a specific plot, has a lot of events to help Squall get involved too. For example, we just had a Teacher's Quidditch event, where the teacher's played a game of Quidditch that had a pretty shocking finish with excellent commentary. Before this we had a subconscious wishing event where every character who thought, "I wish..." had their wish come true. We had dead family members coming back for characters to get closure, but also all kinds of hilariousness like talking goats and never-ending pie.

If you're still looking, can I plug witchesreign? It's actually an FFVIII-based game, and although a lot of it is slice-of-life the overarching plot has definitely been moving faster lately, so I think it'd be pretty easy for a Squall to get heavily involved if you wanted! No castmates apart from OCs, but it's slow-paced, and AC is 15 action bracket comments or 3 log comments a month.
