Basics: ranting, jeering, insults, etc = not crit.

On a more thoughtful note, if you tell me something I'm doing wrong, give me an example of how I can make it right/better. Don't just say, 'This thing you do sucks ass, gtfo'. Tell me why it sucks (with examples if you can, because maybe I'm remembering something different), and then give me an idea as to how I can change.

It's helpful, it's constructive and it shows that you're invested in our RP and our characters relationships.

If you don't actually HAVE ideas on how to make it better, or can't give me specifics on what to do, let me know if it's okay if I bounce new ideas off you or run a private, meta-ish thread to try new things out. I'm all for new things, trying and evolving my characters.

I'm NOT a mind-reader and I don't know if things are wrong if you're just sitting there shaking your head and thinking, "WHY DOESN'T SHE/HE CHANGE THAT SHIT NOW?!"

Wow, I wish this person would stop tagging me. Their grammar and everything is fine, I don't know the character or canon so I couldn't even say if they're playing well or not, but this thread is just so boring.

Both my character and theirs are the "polite and friendly" types so realistically yeah they should get along, but it also means there's no conflict or anything to work off of beyond polite conversation. They're being really polite and formal OOC too so I feel like I can't even just relax.

They seem nice and all that and there's nothing I could actually crit them on, and there's really no IC reason to ignore them. There's just really no way for me to tell them "hey this thread is really boring and I don't think our characters are gonna produce any kind of interesting CR so leave me alone" without sounding like the world's biggest bitch.

British anons, I have been curious about this since the Olympic opening ceremony. Do British people as a whole love their queen? I am just curious because I always figured most countries were like America in that they either hate their leader or, at best, only half the country hates them. But the ceremony really made it seem like you guys generally love her. It's a little boggling and amazing to me to consider.

Kinda unrelated to the rape drama but how do I as a male player try to make myself seem as least creepy as possible?

I've had two female players go "oh? you're a guy? uh... um... i... s...ee...? ( u n s u r e )" at me and avoid me (or at least use that fucking (unsure) emote at me when I try to plot with them) when they found out even though I have my name (tho it's kind of unisex)/gender on my Plurk and everything.

I never really like a mix of LA and hand-drawn. I can take 3D and hand-drawn or 3D and LA but LA and hand-drawn just looks strange.

The best set I've seen was a 100+ icon set of entirely hand-drawn and colored icons. The person in question does art commissions around DW a lot, too.

My friend just went through a really hard breakup and as a joke I made a plentyoffish account with her. Like I knew people would message her but she wasn't sure about it so I made her about me really accurate but with a touch of silliness and without pictures she's averaging about 8 messages a day. It's weird but she just thanked me for it and said it's been really helping her to get her confidence back. Random story but it's funny how the littlest things can really lift someone up.

ohhh this was a good thing to wake up to

i played all three in sequence! i loved the sims 1, but then when the sims 2 came out i couldn't imagine ever going back. now i play the sims 3 exclusively, though if i could i'd probably go back and play the sims 2 sometimes (the laptop i used to play them on is old and needs a new charger, so i won't be able to unless i get a new one). i'd still favor the sims 3 because of the open neighborhood, though.

i don't remember that much about the sims 1 expansion packs, but i think the only ones i had were vacation and pets. for sims 2 i liked all of the ones i had (everything except the downtown one i think?), but my favorites were pets, bon voyage, and seasons. for sims 3 i also like all of them (the only one i don't own is ambitions), but my favorites are late night, pets, and world adventures.
