[M] Great job

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. "People may notice site slowdown/cache error pages. We're working on fixing. You can help: finish posts at 3k comments, not 5k or more." - Dreamwidth@Twitter

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I speak English natively and learned to read Hebrew growing up. I studied a bunch of languages in school but forgot most of them. I speak Japanese and English in my daily life because lives in Japan.

This is pretty much me minus the Hebrew.

English is my first language, Spanish is my second because I studied it for 4+ years in my school years, but I don't use it too often so I'm a little rusty

I'd like to learn Arabic, Japanese, and maybe Korean, I love how they sound. But ugh, those writing systems, man

the korean writing system is literally the easiest thing I've ever learned, including my native language. Just google around and you'd probably be able to memorize the entire thing inside a few hours, it's great!

Well, I haven't really tried studying Korean yet, just the first two, and I didn't study that much.

You better not be lying to me, anon! What's your native language, out of curiosity?

I speak English natively. I can more or less understand Filipino/Tagalog listening but I can't put a sentence together and I suck at reading it. I took Spanish in my first year of university but it deteriorated down to food service Spanish and now it's mostly gone.

So I'd like to get those back up to functional. I'd also like to learn my country's sign language.

And I want to learn Korean and Chinese.

I speak English natively and I can read Latin and ancient Greek(ish). I can just about scrape by on French after studying it for five years. I really want to learn German though, I miss learning it after one year at school, and I'd love to learn Italian just for comparisons with Latin.

English natively, picked up a bit of Spanish when I lived in central America as a kid, but I've forgotten most of that. Studied Latin in high school, and now learning Kiswahili independently.

english natively, have learned spanish, french, and german in school but am not anywhere close to being fluent in any of them

i love languages and really want to familiarize myself with as many as possible. i'd rather be able to get by okay in a lot of languages than be fluent in just one or two. lately i've been casually teaching myself icelandic, dutch, and esperato online, but i haven't done much with it lately because the site i use has a lot of issues and it was pissing me off.

English natively and French fluently. I also know some German and Japanese. I'd like to get those more up to speed. And learn Spanish and Italian.
