rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Everything I said can definitely apply broadly, but it seems like this fandom is especially guilty of it because it's so insular and players assume that everyone else cares about this canon as much as they do. Not to say the problem is worse, but there are more people with it, given the relatively modest size of the YGO fandom (on LJ/DW, anyway) compared to certain others.

And you wouldn't find it in the casts, because to be honest, if someone manages to keep a YGO character in a game and actually get CR, then they're probably not making these mistakes.

Sorry to hear that's your experience with the fandom, anon. Personally, all I can say is that when coming to an app-game with a YGO character, I assume (from years of experience) that no1curr about my canon, and by stretch, the character I'm going to play, so I'm ready and willing to fight tooth and nail to get CR instead of waiting for it to be served on silver plate. I know at least a few other YGO RPers with that mindset as well.

I can only hope people who do that will listen to your advice and work on their methods of getting CR in games!
