This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

additionally-chatgpt is generative ai. it is not a writing tool. if you're using chatgpt to build your game, you're telling all of us that you don't give a shit about quality. or putting in the effort to proof read and refine things yourself so you're also incredibly lazy. you are letting chatgpt make judgements for you.

um no, i already had everything written out. i allowed it to refine the stuff i had written but i understand. i won't use it again.

doesn't matter how much you wrote out and how much chatgpt refined. once chatgpt enters the picture, no one can tell how much of it you ACTUALLY wrote. it makes your own writing worthless because now there is always the question of how much you needed a machine to write for you.

adding onto what the anons said with a good number of people here also write fanfic and have probably had their writing stolen without their consent by chatgpt.

hell it doesn't just scrape fanfic but pretty much the whole internet. so, it's probably lifting dreamwidth content too

seeing as dwrp is (obviously) p much entirely comprised of players who are into a lot of creative writing for the fun of it, the backlash is naturally gonna be especially vehement around these parts
