The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I planned a ship with a cast mate once. Never again.

probably the same thing that's happening to everyone, which is [gestures at the shit timeline we're living in]

anxiety and stress irl can kind of contaminate everything and make it less enjoyable, even if we used to love it. if rp is causing you real distress, and it sounds like it is, it might not hurt to step away for a little while and pick up another hobby, either a new one or an older one you haven't spent much time on. i'm taking an rp sabbatical right now and spending a lot more time on crafting, for example, and it's really helping to clear my head and help me refocus.

I want my top character to have a bottom who is also possessive and obsessive and claims him and marks him up. That's his top! Where are the obsessed and crazy bottoms?

1. i want literally everyone to tag me. please tag me if i toplevel.

2. it varies. i usually get into canons late but play characters people would recognize on sight if they know anything about the canon even just vaguely? i am open to every gender configuration for shipping unless my header says something like m/m or f/f only which i do for canon gay characters.

3. i don't care either way but usually when people ask if they can tag i say yes and then they vanish so don't do that?

1. ocs are fine. i dont play ocs but i have never observed a correlation in either direction between ocs vs canon characters and writing quality.

2. i dont usually play new hotness canons so i like canonmates but am usually an lcw anyway. i dont play for ships but when ships have happened theyve mostly been mf

3. this is a silly thing to expect imo. if you are in a game with somebody they may tag you. if you post to a meme randos may tag you. if you dont want to tag back then dont.

two years, lol. i will always pick threads back up and i was pleasantly surprised about it.

only with friends i have threaded a lot with outside of the game, generally? most times when i do a ship in game its with a psl partner turned game mate.

I hope that one day we run into each other, anon! I want an obsessive bottom for my top, he deserves to be claimed as fully as he claims his bottoms.

playing out an unhinged one on and off right now, maybe someday we shall meet. bonus of manipulative as heck

1. i don't mind ocs tagging out to me as long as they aren't strictly smut-focused or powergamers
2. i play well known characters with castmates and a LCW. all of the characters are OTA with two leaning toward f characters and one having no preference. these prefs don't influence how i feel about oc tags since i primarily play in games and i'm not playing to ship anyway
3. just go for it unless i've specified otherwise in my prefs.
4. i don't like smut-focused ocs at all and i don't like powergamers/infomodders, which ime in bakerstreet both of these are a problem that's happened enough for me to be touchy about ocs in memes. malleable protags are hit or miss but i'll give most a chance

I play one who is like that, and am disappointed I never really got the chance to play with that aspect in my game before ship partner lost interest. Maybe someday with someone else...

4. any genre's fine! the only ocs i insta-pass on are the smut-centric ones with scarcely a personality or ones using ai art.

I've only done one preplanned one, but it was because we planned on breaking them up later and wanted the ic mess.

All the others I've done have been organic.

+1, this is how I've always done it! It's less preplanning everything about the ship and more knowing the chemistry our characters have & getting to see how the game events push them together.

I’m dropping our threads, I can tell you’re not invested and only want to tag canonmates so there’s no sense in dragging this out further, waiting two months for a single tag at a time.

preplanned an extremely slow burn ship for a game. my ship partner had a meltdown when they found out I was shooting the shit about a ship outside the game with my character and a mutual. nothing at all to do with the game itself. I ended up dropping because it was so bizarre.

in another instance I think I accidentally interrupted a preplanned ship, got the go ahead to continue with all sides, and then it ended poorly for a number of reasons.
