This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I don't think there's enough actual defined characters for people to rp

People love tropes though, that's why it's popular for rp and fandom to make those characters seem deeper than they are. It does suck for development though, since very few of these characters can develop and it's all about moving onto the next new shiny.

maybe. unfortunately they have no other cr, and the character is obscure enough there's no demand that turns this into "squatting."

i'm not sure how compelling "hi, it's awkward because these characters are canonically supposed to have a major relationship. i have to keep assuming yours didn't just screw off into the abyss, as you have oocly indicated that they didn't, so i have to keep handwaving they're present somehow. can you drop?" is

just pretend they don't exist. less headache on your part, no effort wasted on handwaving. does the game have a mechanic where dropped characters disappear? have your character assume the powers that be sent them back. don't mourn them publicly, don't talk about them, nothing

they don't have shame about this behavior. i've noticed they have a terminal case of shiny syndrome and flaking on characters across the board.

so yeah, you're right in that is unfortunately the best course of action. i think i'm also mourning the fun rp that could've been, lol. sucks!

you can't fix flakes unfortunately

i used to be one. the fix was not following every whim (am i just excited 'cause it's a new shiny or does this character have enough meat on the bone for me to rp them for a while) + creating a schedule as to when i rp + adhd medication

but i doubt every flake here has adhd. poor impulse control is not exclusive to it

spend your energy elsewhere. focus on cross-canon cr that'll actually go somewhere

I did something real stupid and didn't read my shopping list when i ordered. As a result.. I got..

Ten. Bags. BAGS. Of Oranges (Clementine/halos specifically), not TEN INDIVIDUAL ORANGES.

What am I Going to do with all that?? (in before 'make juice, smart alecks lol)

Well I'll probably eat as many as I can and bring the rest to friends/work and see if someone wants to have some free oranges but uggh

oh boy, what kind of cast is it this time? persona? final fantasy? hoyoverse?

Clementine marmalade/jam or clementine curd would be good, especially if you can do canning.

You can also make candied clementine slices for cake decorating and other things, and those should keep a little while.

You can throw them into smoothies but I've never tried that so I can't personally recommend it but something to try.

You can use them for orange sauce, as well, for homemade orange chicken.

Throw into salads - in my experience they're good with feta cheese, slivered almonds, and a light vinaigrette on mixed greens (especially arugula) and stand up well on kale salads.

looking to play either the f or the m in a loving and wholesome ddlg long term psl where two characters meet on a date and hit it off well, then realize they’re both lowkey freaks and start pushing the boundaries while affirming their love for each other. this naturally leads to ddlg/dom-sub relationship as part of that emotional intensity. other kinks that can be thrown in are free-use, exhibitionism, ageplay, costumes and clothing used in ddlg kinks, anal, bdsm, etc. open to water sports but hard limits are scat, blood play, and fisting.

I’m also open to doing a more corrupted angle towards this without any love and the reason for the kinks is purely born out of control.

how do you become one of those rpers who barely communicates oocly and just rps without issues? I'm starting to admire these types of players.

what is there that needs ooc communication prior to play? assuming you aren't doing anything potentially contentious or broaching sensitive issues in your tag

keep the ooc talk to a minimum. do not talk about your real life much, if at all. deactivate your plurk. remove all socials from your pages. plot only through your game's ooc channels or dm people if it's memes

obviously if you're looking for friends that's going to take a hit but for me it's a fair price to pay i already got a core of friends i chat up regularly. be prepared for people to drop you once you're no longer rping together, no longer have games in common, yadda yadda

i haven't been involved in drama for years and the minimized to non-existent socialization curbs flakey behavior and drama
