i have this 18th century servant girl oc that i've just had an urge to ship with the last queen of france (fictionalized, i'm open to any interpretation of her, most familiar with coppola's 2006 film starring kirsten dunst, rose of versailles and the new historical tv show, but honestly open to any adaptation, i know marie antoinette is more myth than person at this point and the lady had been around) but for any shipping to happen, i need a marie antoinette first! so if anyone has a version lying around that they could be convinced to dig out, i would be so happy. hit this journal up if you're interested and let's talk!

Looking to play toxic M/M with Louis! My preferred pairings are with Strohl, Will, and More but I'm also down to play Louis/Basilio, Louis/Zorba, etc—I'll try almost anything at least once so hmu if you have something in mind that I didn't list. Not particularly into AUs that veer too far from the canon setting (stuff like soulmates/hanahaki being stapled onto canon is fine but I have no interest in coffee shop AUs, for example), but other than that I'm open to a lot of things! Prefer thread partners who are cool with backtagging as I can take a few days between tags, sometimes longer depending on how much thought the thread requires.

Am I too old for DW RP or are all the popular 90s canons just no longer around? It seems even with the "new shiny" syndrome there were usually at least a decent showing of popular anime characters.

My kingdom for Cú Chulainn, Gilgamesh (who I also play, if you have a Diarmuid instead!), or Oscar (granted, he doesn't exist in Fate/ yet but we can make it real if we believe hard enough)

There are still a few around - I've seen some Slayers characters around recently, for example. That said, these canons are 20-30 years old, so it's pretty reasonable that they're not common. Time marches on, anon.

How did everyone pick their natural souls? I can't decide.

i've seen more cowboy bebop lately which is nice

mods have been really flexible on what you can choose, so it can also be a combination of different species under the same umbrella (a rattlesnake and a viper, for example) or even animals and creatures from the character's canon. does the character have any animal themes/connections in canon, including mythical creatures? does any animal type match their personality, like someone dignified and regal being a swan or someone who blends their personality to match the people around as a chameleon etc

there are also some folks in game who have picked soul types that completely contrast with their character's personalities to make things harder for them, so that's always an option too

they're also adding new soul types later on down the line (I think they mentioned fungi, amphibians, and equines along with some other stuff) so you can always switch later! you get one free swap and then you can buy another one by turning in threads for points, iirc. so if you pick something and don't really like it or think of something better later on, you're not stuck with it.

the mods have been great about letting folks get really creative with their choices. i almost had choice paralysis on picking mine lol
