This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

simple request, just really in the mood to write an employee against a boss who's out to exploit her in mutually beneficial ways. not interested in non-con, though a bit of dub to start could be fun. i'd like it to be something they're both really into.

something set in an office, bar, or retail space could give us a lot of options to set scenes in. i'd love cliche things like being made to eat the boss out under the desk during meetings, staying late, being "on call" at all hours, large toys, handcuffs, spanking, anal, etc. not super into humiliation but not against it, either. also open to options of playing the employee against multiple coworkers in a more free-use setting.

baldur's gate 3, ff14, ff7r are all very active with tons of content. bg3 will drop off at some point since they released the final patch a month or so ago, but as of right now it's still big and it'll probably stay that way for a while partly due to the length/replay value of the game and partly due to the nature of d&d (and mods)

oh technically i suppose they did, but "folk horror" as a thematic statement and "horror game" are real different in vibe. i expected potential themes that came from darker folklore, not horror game tropes. if someone is looking for a horror game this isn't the game for them, i just would say bait and switch is a little extreme a description when they were also pretty clear about it being a slow roll in the plot department

It makes me sad that I like to play characters for the long haul but so many other people move on much more quickly and eventually I end up with no castmates.

I acknowledge this is silly. I've been a LCW many times before and I do enjoy cross canon CR! I'm just feeling especially emotional about it this evening and want to woe is me for a second.

i definitely apped in expecting folk horror a la the wickerman, midsommar, etc and there's none of that either

it's not the pacing. the game should've been advertised as SoL light fantasy with very occasional (if ever) dips into missions and darker themes / folk horror.

if the canon is that obscure, do you have some basic canon/character info in your journal? i've gotten way more crosscanon play for my obscure lcws ever since i started putting info posts in their journals to give other players an idea of what my character is like and whether or not my character and theirs might make for a fun thread.

i think bait and switch doesn't fit here in that there was probably no malicious intent to deceive, just the natural progression of building a game and finding out what you can regularly deliver creatively, versus what you'd like to. but the game they have now is absolutely not what was billed at the start, lbr lol.

the last game I played was Slay the Princess. I don't remember which route it was but
