This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. i'm still buttmad dragoncalled didn't stay open. i liked the idea of having some kind of bonded companion (dragon/egg/something) and it being tied to magic. i will die buttmad over this.

something like this, or a Persona or Digimon game, sounds like so much fun and they always seem to get a positive response when they're brought up, but they either never get off the ground or crash immediately after launching

I think these ideas sound fun to people and then they realize they have to RP the companion themselves and either forget about it or they don't do it very well (or the events don't really utilize the idea very well) so the games flop. It's more exciting on paper than in practice unfortunately.

I agree. The Good Place would be awesome.

Especially if only allowing actually reprehensible characters who are unaware they are shirtbags and buy into the heaven thing.

To add either you wake up as the furry/Pokemon or it’s a gradual transformation as I know ppl like those

I’d be letting ppl pick their Pokemon because lord knows someone would be salty they got Geodude while their friend got Charizard

modern setting, idc if it's fantasy, urban fantasy, sci-fi, whatever. I can't believe I'm actually tired of rural village in a forest fantasy. hell, bonus points for modern but an old city with history.

in no real order of vague concepts/components

- sword and sandals/ancient mediterranean setting
- art deco/near eastern mash with steam or solar punk technologies
- fully au game
- mission based but moving through different historic time periods across earth and other planets
- idk something with necromancy or something similar to explain jamjar mechanics of why a character has been pulled into the setting

i love the idea of player characters being "demons" or something equivalent to the npcs yanking them into the game

every canon is a different realm on the vast alternate plane of existence that is Fictional Media

bonus points if the characters are pulled in via a pentagram or summoning circle and arrive naked, surrounded by smoke and dramatic lighting, curled in on themselves like feral gremlins

I've always wanted one just set in ordinary modern Earth but suddenly there are all these fictional characters around + a plot. That said I wanted one when the world was a little less YIKES so maybe not.
