anon, i think you're underestimating the number of us who are commenting with an alternative point of view to yours. i don't think that's them, though rpanonmods can always intervene, since they can see ips.

that's not a personal attack. they're using the same logic that the anons that started everything used as a way to make a point.

first anons: if i don't use white lies, all the weirdos in this hobby react badly
this anon: ime the weirdos are the ones making the lies not the other way around

everyone here is using the same tone and sharing their experiences. everyone is using the word weirdo and similar to describe the situation. you can't call only half of the argument "personal attack" or "freaking out"

speaking practically, as one of the anons who's been in favor of direct, honest communication: if people don't see a merit in it, or aren't in a mindspace where they feel comfortoable or confident enough to resort to that yet, they're entitled to defend their mental health and use what social defense mechanisms work for them. i don't think there's any benefit in trying to nag someone into submission, because we're each on our own journey with this stuff.

i just dislike the conceit that everyone who advocates for transparency and healthy communication has to be either a single anon or actually trying to attack everyone else off a high horse. it diminishes the number of us who actually want honest communication and boundaries and discourages other people from considering that direction.

iiiii am the op anon in that thread and tbh i just happened to check my phone during my break and responded to that when i saw it and walked away so i am just seeing this now

also i used the same term the person i replied to used so if they had used another term i'd have also just followed that
