Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

ugh i feel this... there are some characters i would love to rp cause i enjoy them a lot but for some reason, i can't manage to do them justice at all. it could be a psychological thing where you just never feel good enough or maybe even imposter syndrome ig but i haven't found anything that helps me

what little advice i can give is to try to push past it anyway and take it to heart that if people are threading with you, they like what you're doing and how you're playing the character. other than that, try to really look at the character's speech patterns, analyze them closely and try to figure out what kind of language they use (formal? casual? an in-between?) and keep that in mind when tagging

i also keep a script handy or have a bunch of quotes on hand to reference whenever i'm unsure, religiously checking it over and over. if there's a novel, i frequently search through epubs for specific terms or phrases
