I know this is the "old" post so people might not see this, but. I can't give very much closure to this story, but if anyone happens to be tracking this, maybe it'll be something.

Christy here! I was Blue's co-mod, but it was 100%, undoubtedly her baby, and I mostly just handled the paperwork aspects/helped with brainstorming from time to time. We closed very suddenly because Blue had a very serious family emergency come up involving one of her parents (I won't be any more specific than this, so please don't ask), and unfortunately, I have to assume the worst happened, because neither myself or any of the other helper mods ever heard from her again or were able to get in touch with her in any of the means we had available. I believe we said as much when we closed, but just to sadly confirm that this has remained the case since.

We had to close it so suddenly without her, since even as the co-mod I had very limited additional insight into the plot, and it didn't feel right besides since it was so very much her plot and her NPCs. Blue truly was a fantastic mod and game-runner though and has remained my golden standard ever since. Nothing but love for her, and in the off chance that she might be lurking or has changed handles, absolutely feel free to reach out and reconnect.

Not sure if you're going to see this, but as someone who used to be like this (and sometimes catches myself falling back into it): drop because it sounds like you're not having fun. Drop, go on bakerstreet and EMP and tag others. When you have other people to write with, your dependency on that one person fades because you have other people preoccupying your time and investing in different people/things. I found that this helped me a lot.

If you're comparing yourself to your friend (like checking their threads and going "Oh, they're tagging that person over me"), stop looking at what they're doing and focus that energy on writing with other people.

Limiting your exposure to your friend may also help you disengage from hanging your self-worth on them. Learn to validate yourself. You'll feel better for it.

Do you post ads here and EMP? I find most of my PSLs are from tagging people on bakerstreet and messaging them to tell them I'm having fun and would love to do more if they're game.

despite better judgement, fell in with a lovebomber type, and now they're showing their true colors and have moved on. makes me sad because i was getting the kinky smut threads i wanted, but in some ways it's a relief to not have to constantly worry about them moving on. still kind of hurts and i do wonder if there was anything i could have done differently.

i just want to write kinky, emotional smut with my otp and plot fun things. time to go back to bkst and emp, i guess.
