nothing in their theory actually involves a conspiracy, but nice try

"it also feels like there's at least one sour grapes jerk that just keeps trying to flood stuff in an attempt to force the mods into moderating a queue or something" think they're talking about this since there's no evidence of it

there's been some pretty vocal conversation on wg and here about 'why don't they just moderate a queue already' and after that, the flood started getting really bad. i know some of the posters for memes go there since i read it there and i'm a poster and gutties responded on there that they were going to keep doing the 12 on the dot postings for awhile and that was done out of spite, so it's less a conspiracy theory and more just a possibility and a guess. the uptick of postings does get worse when the topic of memes comes up on wg and the sameness of them also increases. they push that line of 'posting a day before they should' and whenever memes get taken down, there's suddenly a flood of replacements.

it's not hard to look at that and see a spiteful, intentional reaction.

it could just as easily be someone spitefully posting more memes in response to people complaining about too many memes... why would someone who wanted a moderated queue spam memes when that hasn't ever worked to create a moderated queue lmao

that's a conspiracy theory hon. the "really bad flood" has been happening off and on for months to a year.

i think it's way more likely to be some clueless rper who genuinely thinks they're helping by posting lots of memes for people to have lots of options, there are definitely people out there who think that there needs to be a separate meme for every single thing

we've even seen people here innocently encouraged to create and post memes that are already right there on the front page. two regular meme posters will accidentally and without malice double post smut picture prompts within hours of the other and then just leave them up because they didn't check.

nah i just don't read malice into actions that have been happening for a long time just because some trolls who probably don't even rp anymore mouthed off on wg last week

the moderated queue people spamming the comm conspiracy theory makes even less sense given that the suggestion was actually reasonable

I'm the one who brought up the moderated queue this time and I'm not sitting around spamming either. unless there's some rogue meme hater doing it, it's safe to say that the people spamming are the same people who are always spamming bakerstreet

look up the definition of a conspiracy some time. It doesn't mean 'a single person doing something i don't like'
