rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Blue Milk Special is a funny parody Star Wars webcomic with a few players on DW.

Is there a better way to attract potential partners for a non-very often used character in rp? I'm not great at brackets but better at writing prose.

I wouldn’t want them. Parodies are almost terminally unfunny outside their context, if they were even funny to start with. Many parodies also exist to poke fun at the source canon, and I wouldn’t want to RP off someone constantly cracking jokes about the canon… I’m pretty neutral on that stuff OOC, but IC it’s just annoying for characters the same way other fourth wall breaks are.

I also don’t really care to introduce my characters to “AU selves” unnecessarily, especially just for a comedy bit.

Most games won’t accept them anyway. Otherwise what’s to say people couldn’t play from fanfic or whatever? Fine in PSLs or memes but I don’t want to play off someone with elaborate canon-diverging headcanons in a game.

more than happy to play against them in memes, but I'd be so done with it real quick if I was stuck with a parody castmate in a game. I don't think I'd want to bother with dedicating effort to reacting against joke characters in a serious ic manner and with internal consistency so I'd probably opt out. especially for something like 40k looool

Abridged series versions, very swiftly become tired outside of their context. They exist for very specific purposes of poking fun at foibles of a canon they are no longer operating in. Their observations and actions don't translate well. Parodies with some life of their own (e.g. Austin Powers. Enchanted, Disgaea) are usually fine, though.

Not instagram, but Cisco Ramone from CW's the Flash had an official tumblr. Used to talk about how the various characters would watch movies and stuff between episodes. Hasn't been updated since 2019, though, and the insta he links is basically just the official Flash instagram.

On different computers and browsers, tt can render as something a smidge larger than Courier to being identical to being literally a third the size. Like if everything else was written in twelve point font, tt sometimes renders as about a four or a five point font.

Other than tagging out to people on memes or in your games, or advertising good ideas for PSLs, not really. Assuming you've got the setup right.

To maximize, have good icons, a profile with a summary, a well-formatted post with more in-depth information in your journal (possibly with links to a canon wiki), a permissions page, and a kinks list if you're gonna do smut.

For RP ideas or hooks, you'll want something that isn't overly wordy, probably a paragraph or two at most. Something that might engage people or leave them feeling like they can add to it rather than just being another role in the existing story.

I'm looking to play a scenario in which a kind of domineering female college student sets her sights on a newly divorced professor. The risks are high for them both.

This can be a one-off, or a psl with build-up from her teasing him in the classroom, and then her pushing him towards increasingly risky sex acts (specifically: public settings, cuffing her, and/or taping it for them to watch later)

Kinks I'm interested in are small breasts, light bondage, exhibitionism, toys, cockwarming, fellatio, risk of getting caught. Age difference is kind of a given (I'm even willing to move the setting to HS, though the youngest I will do is 18). Size difference is a HUGE plus.

Looking to play the female student. No preferences for medium, but I will be using an iconless OC

aside from potential castmate clashes, assuming you could somehow write an app that would pass muster i can't see a character like this having longterm viability in a game, tbh. how would you keep the character from getting stale? how would you facilitate cr with people who aren't familiar with the canon you're parodying? how would you handle serious or dark events? ia that for one off threads or a fourth wall or something they might be fun, but outside of that it'd be an uphill battle.

i'm here to offer one (1) miserable quincy bastard. i'm caught up through the end of tybw and am looking to toss jugram against any & all castmates at any point in the arc, but i'd particularly enjoy playing him against ichigo or uryuu (esp in an au in which they cross sides to join yhwach's army), mayuri, shunsui, bazz-b, or askin; i'd love to play ship stuff with the latter two as well.

in general looking for some threads heavy on interpersonal drama/the chance to fill in some worldbuilding/character development/CR gaps and am very much down for playing out what ifs/canon divergences. if that sounds like your thing shoot me a pm!

I'm currently in Sail, but I dropped out of Apocalypse How because it didn't have enough levity and breathing room for my own personal needs. It might suit you better, in terms of keeping a constant pressure on in terms of the horror. I loved the mod team there, they were absolutely open to player plots and people bringing their own darkness to the game. So if since dropping Sail, you're looking for something that takes itself more seriously, I'd love to point you in that direction!

I'd say it'd depend on the kind of parody and could only be judged on a case by case basis, except I would also 150% without any reservations accept someone playing from wizard people, dear reader. probably more than i would someone just playing from harry potter.
