this is exactly my point. the mods should feel free to do whatever they want with their game, but the fact remains that they fostered this sort of easygoing, sandbox environment and not everyone is going to be receptive to them deciding after a year and a half that their game should have an actual plot.

Wait, I'm confused. The critrole cast has CR with over half the game, how are we 'personal sandboxing' this? I know most of us don't post many toplevels because we're a little overwhelmed with people but I legit think the only casts we don't have consistent threads/CR with are some of the anime ones.

i think the misconception might come from the trend of permanent catch-alls your cast brought into the game. people have to go out of their way to realize you're even in the game. like i don't care personally, i know nothing about the canon and have no cr with y'all, so whatever, but it does stand out when one of the larger casts appear to have no interaction with the game (and i say appear, i assume you do event stuff, etc, in your logs).

We had no problem with the game premise and were excited to protect the Augur, but the implants part of the game were never announced and one cast member has a huge trigger about those things. The mod response to the question if it was optional or not was rather abrasive and rude so several of us decided to drop over that.

On one hand, it is a sci-fi-ish dystopia smut game and brain chips are peak sci-fi, but on the other, I do agree to a degree that the implants should have been run by the players beforehand. It doesn't bother me personally but I kind of think wrapping the device up in a new version of the bracelet/watch thing everyone gets and make it non-removable instead might have been a better idea.
