On one hand, it is a sci-fi-ish dystopia smut game and brain chips are peak sci-fi, but on the other, I do agree to a degree that the implants should have been run by the players beforehand. It doesn't bother me personally but I kind of think wrapping the device up in a new version of the bracelet/watch thing everyone gets and make it non-removable instead might have been a better idea.

this is a perfect solution tbh. it makes it so the characters can't get rid of them without being an issue for the players who aren't okay with the idea of implants.

Why? Sci-if brain implants are such a vanishingly rare trigger -and they've been used in so many DWRP games- I doubt running it by the player base would have had a different outcome. As someone with an ultra rare trigger myself I know it sucks but it's not reasonable to expect mods to run every aspect of their premises by players just to make sure.

why? not every decision needs to be agreed by the entire playerbase. imo this fallout shows that games need to stop letting players vote on shit because clearly it only causes more trouble.

if it had been "run by" everyone the outcome would have been the same. this player would have opted out. it wouldn't have "helped" anyone besides possibly causing more drama if players decided to argue with it being included.

it's a game, not a democracy. the mods can do what they want in their game. if players are too entitled to deal with that then they can and should leave.
