Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.

i finally let go of a toxic friend/rp partner and now there's just this big empty void where they used to be. i know it's healthier this way but now the loneliness is kicking in and i really miss being that close with someone.

I work at a hospital and I've left everyone I was tagging with on hold by accident for the past three days just because work has gotten so fucking insane. I didn't mean to but after a sixteen hour shift I can't ever get it together enough to put together a PM explaining things, let alone tags.

I'm working on writing the PM now, don't worry, I'm not trying to be a flake on purpose. But yeah, I hate this. I feel like I'm losing myself and losing my hobbies and just sort of not 100% real anymore.

I miss having an rp partner to get excited about threads with and join games with. I used to have an rp partner I was pretty close with but she left rp and now I feel kinda sidelined. I know this is a silly woe but sometimes I miss having that partner in crime kind of rp partner :((

I went from always being someone's favorite writing partner to being no one's favorite writing partner after I burned out of my last big canon and as a consequence most of my daily ooc chatter has dried up too.

Now I feel lonely and restless and I feel like I'm being annoying whenever I try to kickstart those convos again. Feels bad man

I had a psl partner I thought I was really jiving with but they up and vanished, and it's looking like they ditched me. I don't know whether to reach out to them and see if they'd still be interested in writing with me or just make like Elsa.

lately i've been thinking about an old rp friend who passed away around this time last year. it makes me so sad knowing we won't run into each other anonymously on this meme anymore after so many years of doing it.

i love my cr and plots, but i have to do a lot of writing assignments in a day so that by the time i get to my tags, i'm burned out on writing (even if it's a different type)

My psl partner jumped into a new fandom and stopped tagging our threads. I was hoping the new shiny would wear off but it's been a few months... do I write this off as a lost cause?

Nothing has killed my drive for tagging more than this spell of unemployment. It's funny how tags (or really anything) seems impossible lately. Sorry to my PSL partners :(

Normally, I'm very heavy on tag-outs on memes, but right now I'm in a bit of a lull and can't get starters written to save my life. Unfortunately, I think I've gotten a reputation as 'the friend who'll come to you', so this mean I'm not getting anything new going right now.

i wish my writing was compelling enough to make me popular.

i like to think it's decent, in that i'm reasonably good at being descriptive and creative and providing hooks and moving a thread along, but that's just meeting the bar. it's not the same as being gushed over because i'm just that skilled at drawing someone into a scene.

follow-up woe: sometimes i feel like there's a disconnect between me and other rpers in the sense of what we're trying to get out of rp or what we find personally satisfying. i don't want to sound galaxy-brained or pretentious, it's just a bit lonely sometimes.

my psls have slowed to a stop, some on my end and some on my psl partners' end. i know everyone seems to be going through it right now, but it's also partially making me wonder if i'm just finally at the end of my rp days for real this time. it makes me feel sad since it's been a better part of my hobby life for over a decade. but i also don't know if it's just the current state of things/my life and it will eventually pass. either way i'm just feeling sad about rp lately.

My PSL partner is overloading me with thread requests. I feel constantly overwhelmed, and I've asked them repeatedly to hold off on threads while we tag what we have now but what happens is they calm down for a week or so and then go back to badgering me to do more or trying to intrude on other plans I'm making. I'm glad they're excited but it seems like I'm constantly disappointing them. I know it's just RP, but it's stressful to have this attitude directed at me, and it makes it impossible for me to just enjoy tagging at all. I don't want to break things off, but I don't think I can keep up with their pace or their investment in the dynamic, so maybe that's the only thing I can do.

i have a character in a game that i really want to sink my teeth into and plan stuff with, but for whatever reason when i get to it, i start trying to procrastinate and do literally anything but my tags

its so fucking annoying

i play from an old, practically dead canon and would really love to play some psl's or have some fun canon mates in the game i've just joined after coming back from a long break... but i doubt it'll ever happen :(
