WARNING to anyone offering icon/coding commissions:

There has been some reasonably solid evidence sent to me that a banned individual has been soliciting commissions. I won't directly name this person (though the deets are available on WG if you care to look), but they have caused trouble recently and are known for repeated ban evasions and responding with hostility, accusations of abuse and threats when they feel they aren't getting what they want. I have also heard (albeit secondhand) that this person doesn't have the money to pay for commissions and thus it's possible they are trying to get free work out of other people.

Ultimately it's an individual choice if someone wants to work for this person, but let that choice be an informed one. :|b

I'm looking for a place to apply for either Stan or Ford from Gravity Falls (maybe even a game for each, if I'm lucky). Since their most important castmates are 12/13, I'd prefer a game that doesn't lock out that age bracket!

I'm willing to consider any games that meet the above requirement, but bonus points for...
- Small or medium size, medium pace
- Mystery, exploration, or horror elements
- A tone that's neither totally serious/plot-focused nor totally silly/SOL
- Opportunities for player-run businesses and an NPC population (for Stan), or lots of mysteries, anomalies, monsters, and other weird stuff to discover (for Ford)

I've a handful of scenarios that could work well: college roommate slowly programming whoever they're stuck in the dorm with, random stranger on the subway getting mind-whammied and trained, etc.

I really wish people weren't so ship driven. A friend of mine continually complains about how they don't have any ships, and no one ships their characters with theirs... It is a daily thing and really getting annoying. Also, they are very passive-aggressive about it when they find out mutuals of theirs have ships going on.

I know I should ignore it, but it is getting very annoying, and I just wanted to complain about it. Thanks for listening.

Unfortunately, some people in this hobby substitute (or supplement) rl romantic relationships with rp ones, and that shit isn't healthy for anyone.

i don't mind usually if people project a little on their characters, and i think every player brings a part of themselves to their specific iteration of a character, but -

i heard someone recently say they'd be very upset, like in a 'mental health dive' way, if they were turned down for rp because another player didn't like their character, and that made me feel extremely put-off. that's just not a healthy level of investment.
