i hate feeling intimidated by players when it's not their fault. they're established, long been in the game, have tons of cr, while i'm a fairly new fledgling and trying to build cr. i'm happy with what i got but the more the merrier. i want to tag some of these 'popular' players since i think it'd be fun but i don't know how those people would feel about it. so i end up convincing myself i'm not wanted and never tag them.

is this stupid or should i just go for it?

you should tag them!

i'm friends with the most popular players at my game and they're always saying how excited for new characters coming into the game they are and wanting cr with them. they're also really welcoming and friendly to players in general. so please don't let the popularity of certain characters or players prevent you from having fun and getting great cr. they're players who want to have fun just like you!

huh. this post made me realize i might be an idiot, cuz i've never even considered those things. both ways, too! as a seasoned player with lots of cr, i never felt any kind of way about a new chara tagging me; always exciting! and as a newbie, i always just recklessly dive head first into any dynamic that i think is kind of interesting with my character. i'll admit i also don't like research characters before my character interacts with them or anything, i have no idea who's established and has tons of cr or not. everyone is a blank slate who may as well be as new as me when i'm first stepping into a game, in my perspective!

that said, though i've never considered that perspective, i've had nothing but a ton of luck with that approach so lol! i say just dive right the fuck in
