Spoilers for the Seventh Singularity.

So to recap the end of arc 1, Romani gives up his wish, returns to being Solomon, and then briefly appears as Romani again after using Ars Nova but before he disappears.

My question is, would it cause a stir to play Romani from that brief moment after Ars Nova? I'm basically looking to play him with all of his memories up to that point, but I don't want to play Solomon, and I dont want to play Romani with Solomon's powers.

go for it! whether it's in a meme or a game, you can even play him fully post-death and still have him be roman with no powers. for memes it doesn't matter, and for games, i think there are plenty out there that'll let you use the setting and pull mechanics to do what you want. i know someone who plays a character who died and possessed someone else's body, but in the game we're in they have their original body back because that's the player's preference, and icly they just say it's the game setting working in mysterious ways. rp is about being true to canon up to a point, but it should also be about doing what's fun for you, so don't overthink it or worry too much!

hopefully i've got the gist, but for the sake of having an outside perspective what would you say are the key do's and don'ts of writing her?

what 2B is; reserved, direct, and uncomfortable with situations that are emotionally earnest or sincere.

what 2B is not; emotionaless and, ironically, robotic.

like you've cleared the game, so you know, but she's 100% capable of being earnest and sincere with her emotions herself, particularly when in moments of stress or particularly profound grief or joy. she's a contrast with A2 in the sense that while she represses the expression of her emotions, she at least accepts they exist, beyond the ones that drive her mission. whereas A2 doesn't allow herself to be anything but angry and destructive for most of her story. it's an interesting dichotomy!
