rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

they were a spy team, not a strike team. their purpose was to gather information.

also, weird anon getting their nuts twisted over eren being involved aside, most of us aren't here to pick a fight, so drop the salt.

counting that all spies had the option to be part of the strike team

honestly guys, it didn't come up earlier because there weren't answers earlier. if people don't want to participate, then don't. have your character act out against the riots. going to dorchborch was optional to begin with, don't be mad about it after you made your choice.

A strike team, individuals willing to use guerrilla warfare or more violent protests to attack the city from the core. This isn't approved of by Nessie or Mhairi, either, but unlike the stealthier team no means of enabling will be left for anyone deciding this is the best approach. But they may find some allies in the form of the resistance already built into Dorchacht. These characters can be members of either the espionage or the dignitary teams.

anon there's literally an option for whether or not each character is a striker on the sign up forms

honestly with how weirdly defensive people are getting over the mildest of gripes about this plot (like the weird shit about eren being "too active" or whatever was dumb, but everything else has been gentle as shit), either owlie or their friends need to chill out because it's making the whole thing look bad.

there was some misinformation based on assumptions, but no one was lying. no one was out to insult you or your friend.

namely the salt of those comments, plus accusing people of lying. it's not exactly encouraging behavior, anon.

there's a difference between being salty because you're watching people accuse other people in the game of being annoying, inconsiderate, or insular based on incomplete or incorrect information and wanting to shut down all criticism of a plot, anon.

anons upset with the plot should put forward their concerns on the plotting post so they can be resolved.

okay but aside from the anon who got a hair up their ass about eren's player being too active, nobody did any of those things. you made assumptions based on the lightest of criticisms and reacted aggressively. it's a bad look.

that kind of aggression is going to discourage people from putting forward their concerns logged in.

i like this event. i plan on participating. but you're still out of line.

because the salt on both sides is exactly proportional

"game discords are annoying af" and "whoever posted this must be up eren's bootyhole" :: "somehow you ignored the existence of a literal strike team" and "people already compiled links for you on how this was not plotted on discord"

i understand this is emotionally charged so literally the smallest negativity from the perceived opposing seems like an attack, but there's more comments on these threads attempting to solicit solutions from the upset anons than threads telling them they're wrong (or bad).

first of all, calling game discords annoying is not the same as calling individual people annoying, or inconsiderate, or insular. and once again, aside from that one anon who has a specific issue with eren's player, none of the people in this thread are accusing individual players of being annoying, inconsiderate, or insular. however, people bringing up misinformation ARE being accused of lying, when they could just be wrong and not realize it.

if you're genuinely confused as to why people thought plotting for this was done over discord, in this thread there is a comment that implies that: https://rpanons.dreamwidth.org/80713.html?thread=247464777#cmt247464777 and those links complied to show it wasn't plotted on discord don't really show the whole a to c jump. they don't. they're all very brief and bereft of some details posted as given in eren's ooc post. so yes, people are still going to believe parts of this were plotted on discord.

and yes there's some salt about game discords in some of the early comments in this thread, but that had already pittered out before people came in replying to rather innocuous concern comments with insults and salt of their own.

and finally, yes, there are posts soliciting solutions, but when the people with concerns have already been met with pretty bald-faced negativity, why would they bother saying anything, much less logging in to do so on the post itself?

there are probably 2-5 people talking in this embarrassing thread, it's not that deep
