i only apped in last round and my guy's a much more manipulative sort of guy than the sort to be open about being evil, but people were thrilled to plan horrible cr with him and i'm having fun!

As long as the villain isn't a canon rapist or pedophile they do fine, haven't seen any trouble with villains developing CR.

If they are however, apparently the mods just reject apps.

I play a villain but it's difficult to get CR going for him.

I have to tag out a lot, approach everyone for plotting and when I post something on CR memes or anything it gets ignored. And I don't mind reaching out at all and I understand that CR with a villain is not what most people want. But I had expected it to be less difficult.

Who do you play? Because there are a few specific villains I can think of I avoid CR with because they're not written well.

I think how well they do hinges on good communication so shrug, I might go for it who knows.

as someone who plays a Big Damn Hero type who also has some gray shades of morality, I would love to play some complicated "maybe you're not so different from me after all!" kinds of cr with a villain

I haven't really noticed anything personally regarding character types and smut. It helps that everyone has their permissions available, so you can see where you are more likely to get results.

My personal experience has been largely welcoming, though there's been a couple of instances of no communication whatsoever (read: ignoring) for gen CR (something I didn't expect), though it's a game I find easy to spread yourself thin in.

If you don't mind doing a little extra research into the character and player preferences, you should take a visit to our next TDM and test the waters.
