can't you buy each episode by its own? i remember with other telltale games seeing people that would drop the game in the middle. if they changed that then my bad

you can, but iirc you can pay for a seasons pass that's usually a little cheaper than paying per episode. if fans paid for a seasons pass for all the episodes but then didn't get a full game, that would put telltale into a legal sticky spot, i think.

either way that analogy falls flat because they did complete the twd game. they just sent it to a different studio to finish or something. also people paid for the content, no one has pre-paid for grrm's unfinished books.
