Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. coming from the other side of it, i feel weird for never mentioning smells. i don't have a sense of smell so i'd rather avoid it if possible than risk getting it horribly wrong

da but were you born without a sense of smell or did you lose it at some point?

i'd feel insecure about having body odor and having no idea.

jsyk, if you have consistent body odor, you wouldn't know anyway. you rarely can tell your own scent if it's consistent enough. your system gets used to certain smells. it's why people with gross cat litter boxes don't always know they have them as bad as they are if they don't leave the house often. your sense of smell adapts. it's only when you go out/go away for awhile and come back that your nose is like 'oh right, that stinks'. i've known plenty of people that have really bad body odor and they don't seem to notice it and/or can't do much about it. even frequent showers/clothes changing doesn't help with certain people because it's just a pore/sweat thing.

tldr; buck up. you could totally have body odor and still have no idea even with a good sense of smell.
