this is why i can't do it with OCs. actors with icons from movies are ok, since they're playing a role, but something about using models or musicians as a pb and then writing smut with them is just uncomfortable territory for me. i don't judge people who do it, i just don't want to write smut with them.

if by this you simply mean shitty grammar/spelling then it's not a hang-up, it's just basic preference that everyone has because this is a writing hobby. if you mean dropping esl tags but accepting shitty writing from natives then yeah you have issues.

Considering their mention of "obviously an ESL", it's likely the former. There are definitely people who are ESL and have a good enough grasp of English that you wouldn't know it just from their tags.

I don’t enjoy rping with shitty writers of any background, anon, but unfortunately most of the bad grammar and weird wording I’ve run into has been by people who are very obviously ESL.

I'm pretty shameless about the shit I will play out in games but can't bring myself to do the same in memes, which seems to be the opposite of how I'm expected to approach it. I think it's the aspect of buildup and continuity that makes it easier to suddenly find myself in some ridiculously self-indulgent scenario without having to put out there that I just want to play that as a one-off scene.

i watch plenty of la canons but dwrp is chock full of la canons i don't give a fuck about like mcu/dceu, star wars, doctor who, or the magicians. got too but i haven't watched it yet because i'm waiting for it and the wank explosion to finish before i start.

i swear, i'm looking at bakerstreet and there's a decent variety of animated characters... and i'm gonna be generous with my estimates when i say it's AT LEAST 80% superhero shit, maybe 10% got/star wars/dw/supernatural/harry potter/teen wolf/magicians/shadowhunters, and definitely less than 10% other la canons.

WHY CAN'T DWRP CARE MORE ABOUT LA CANONS THAT I CARE ABOUT?? smh at all you fuckers who don't play from higher quality canons.

disclaimer: i prefer tv shows over movies so these are all shows. unfortunately i wouldn't rp from any of these but i'd be excited to see them around! and tag them, depending on the character.

i have a hard time tagging people that i know are into certain kinks, even if i'm not playing smut with them. i'm talking the common squicks, not getting my panties in a twist about foot fetishes or something. i wish i could get over it since ykinmk and that's okay, but i just lose interest as soon as i see gore or something on someone's kinklist.
