i'm traveling in a different state right now, and my hair went from beautiful and glossy to greasy and impossible to style. any tips on helping with this?

It's your different eating habits/using different soaps and things if you're using hotel products and that kind of thing. Your hair and skin get used to routine, so when it changes it can send everything out of wack. Drink a lot more water and try to cut down on washing for a little white anon.

not to discredit hairstylist anon or anything, but your problem immediately struck me as a hard water thing more than anything. when my hair starts to get gross and impossible i know it's time to change my filter, so you might wanna look into it if your problem keeps persisting!

This can absolutely be a reason, too. Getting a good cleansing shampoo will help with hard water a lot.
