I'll report it if no one else does.

Actually I'll report it even if someone else reports it. If nothing else the mods should know because it isn't the first time a player has confused others with BS details about the setting like this, such as people thinking there were "NPC villagers" and random stray animals running around waiting to be adopted. It doesn't really hurt anyone, but I don't think the mods would enjoy players just making stuff up to that magnitude. Characters already have enough reason to hate the gods, they don't need to start blaming them for razing half of Sorrow's orchard as well.

Not just NPC villagers, but NPC villagers to be used in a ritual sacrifice.

This post has gotten even worse with retconning the size of the ships, too.

that's what got me. even if there were npc villagers in the game, i have no idea what made the player think that they would be down for ritual sacrifice to gods from another world they obviously wouldn't worship. i'd assume they would be worshiping the gods of their own world.

whoa what now? when the hell did the ritual sacrificing happen?

it was several months ago but one of the vikings characters made a log about sacrificing characters in the name of their god and asking for pc volunteers, but said that if they didn't get any they'd use npcs

afak the mods were alerted, told the player that wasn't possible because there are no npcs, and the log was just deleted/retconned out without any further incident.

gotdamn how did i miss that. if it was floki you'd think they would've learned from that or from the whole pet thing to check in with the mods and read the infoposts before doing that kind of shit.

i'm glad that didn't blow up like this is blowing up though.

it was floki. i think the player deleted it pretty fast after a mod informed her there are no such npcs, so she reused it for the waking dream event.

that was a situation that was easily fixed because it was just one player who messed up. that might be why it didn't blow up like this one, which involves several and none of them seem to be communicating with each other.

I did my part as well, anyway. I feel bad for the mods because it's the holidays and this puts them in an awkward position. Honestly I don't know what to expect them to do as I'm not sure what I would do in their position, but seriously these shenanigans have gone on long enough.

thanks, anons! i feel for the mods too but i don't think they would need to discipline the players, just remind them of the mod ruling on what happened icly with the orchard and park. that will be punishment enough, i'd think.
