that's what makes me a touch salty about the whole thing. if any one of them would just have their character own up to making the mistake, it would be done with. characters screw up all the time, that's the nature of character development and being in a game.

instead, we get a bunch of fingers pointed at everyone but themselves going 'the other leaders building the boats did it! no, wait, it was everyone else involved building the boats who did it. no, no, wait maybe the npcs did it!' from an ic perspective it just makes them look shifty and unreliable and people who can't be trusted and ooc the players just look dumb as hell trying to dodge consequences.

that's why while i'm sick of seeing it coming up all the time, i'm not surprised that it does because the ones who were running the show keep trying to blame someone else, so it makes sense that people are trying to figure out who did what then.

still wondering if it's something that has or should be brought to the mods because if i was involved and found out that the players who were running the plot were trying to godmode my character into taking all the blame without at least discussing it first, i'd be pissed.

i think it's understandable that it keeps coming up because the characters in charge of the boat fiasco also tend to be the characters trying to put themselves in charge of other things. of course other characters are going to wonder whether they should even trust them when they ostensibly are responsible for trashing a huge food source.
