i play a bouncy, BOUNCY character who has a very expressive style of speech in japanese, but this kind of energy and language patterns are lost in english. what are some ways i could convey a cutesy style of talking without going all uwu or sowwy i'm so wuvable?

give some directly-translated examples + some japanese examples

lots of exclamation points, simpler word choices without going full baby talk (like choosing "bad" over "awful", etc)

Fun, casual slang too, and maybe overexaggerated descriptors like "totally", "super", etc.

extending the vowels on certain words to emphasize them also helps to give a more casual/expression air long as you don't go overboard.

like "boring!" vs "boooring!" or "Wow" vs "Wooooow" gives slightly different connotations

Emphasis! You can get a lot of expressed energy and bounciness by using italics, underlines, or bolding! And, like that other anon said with stretching out words, you can emphasize parts of it like "boring" and the like.
