Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

Usually, we just do a permissions post, which is very similar to a "before you follow" post; there are some templates you can use, and you can probably find examples in lots of character journals. These tend to go over basics (like if it's okay to backtag, threadjack, start an IC fight/cause injury, etc) but also include content warnings, so people can be aware of what might come up and when (in your case, you would probably have a note that this would probably only be a potential discussion between close CR) as well as opt out of discussing the subject at all.

I feel like it's important to point out that the DWRP community doesn't frown on major content warnings, and in fact they're expected both in permissions posts (as an upfront warning) and in individual threads (usually in the subject line) in which it comes up both for your thread partner and in case other people are reading. What's considered ~tumblrina~ here is content warnings for basic, everyday things, like eye contact or swearing. Those get laughed at, but sexual assault of any sort, extreme violence, child abuse, self-harm or suicide, and graphic descriptions of gore (human, animal, or otherwise) are all examples that we expect major content warnings for. You also generally differentiate between a straight content warning where whatever you're warning for is actually happening in the thread, or a "mention" where the subject is being discussed ICly between characters but isn't happening.

You put it very well when I was having trouble articulating it, thanks anon. This all the way, OP--we're good about serious triggers, don't worry about that.

(And welcome to DW!)
