rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. (Anonymous) 2018-12-03 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)As far as I can tell, the reason it never became an issue was because I never used my constant sickness against others in irrelevant ways. Yes, I'd complain and gripe sometimes, but I didn't demand different treatment from any of my online friends or get angry that I wasn't prioritized in every possible way IRL. For lack of a better explanation, it was my shit and I made sure it stayed my shit instead of expecting the world to make my life better and lashing out when that didn't happen.
This is all kind of tangentially related because you've got a real physical issue, but the point I'm coming to is: talking about health issues on social media will usually go down just fine with people when they're not being drawn into them in unfair ways. That goes for physical ones as much as mental ones. Resentment about all the responsibility being deflected onto them is mostly what gets people complaining and doubting the nature of the illness.
