quick question for meme-going anons! when you get multiple pics as prompts on the picture prompt meme, what's the standard practice usually...? do you pick one from the selection to write a starter around, or is it more proper to mix together what you've been given? or is either way equally fine?

i haven't actually gotten a bite on one of these before but it finally happened today and i'm realizing i'm not actually sure how people normally proceed on these lmao

backtagging for memes is cool, right? mine are inching towards 2 days old. i don't mind if they never get responses, but i personally don't like dropping anything and i want to establish a reputation of being reliable!

and once a post hits captcha do people typically just ditch it? i don't find captcha that annoying myself, but how do other anons feel about it?

When in doubt, check the journal you're tagging with. Some people will have permissions posts that talk about backtagging. Most that I've seen are okay with backtagging, but how long someone is willing to revisit an old thread and the pace they're willing to deal with can vary.

As far as captcha goes, I don't mind it especially in the case of meaty threads, but you can also ask your partner if they'd be cool tagging an overflow thread on your journal if it does bother you/them.

Check for a permissions post. If nothing says not to do it, then tag them back. Worst that happens is they don't reply but at least you didn't drop the thread. If you want to keep a thread up, then do so and let the other person decide what to do from there.

seconding other anons that permissions are always good to check, tho honestly two days isn't too bad at all imo, especially in memeland. i'd be more concerned about being a week later or more, you're fine rn. and if you're still on the fence, messaging the other player to check if they'd still be interested never hurts

Kinda depends on if the pictures mesh well together? I feel like either is fine, whatever gives you an idea you can work with.
