Put up my tree today! It’s as far as I’ve gotten but it’s steady progress

not yet. i'm painting and doing some house repairs/upgrades that i need to finish before i do any decorating.

i hope to get everything done in time to put up my tree at least, though! and i'm going to put up some lights and a tinsel garland in my cubicle at work this week.

Put up the tree yesterday, decorated today. Doing so helped improve the shitty mood I’ve been in.

My grandmother got her lights put up yesterday and I got her a poinsettia today to brighten up the outside even more. I'll be putting up the giant Christmas village we got from Mervyn's years ago as I do every year. I add in a new figurine every year a new member of the family is born and this year my cousin had a baby, so I'm off to Ebay!

going to buy a live tree tomorrow for my apartment. Its my Christmas splurge to myself every year. My rabbit is going to be so over the moon happy and my apartment is going to smell so good!

oh! and I saw that they had giant light up 'christmas' chickens at Tractor Supply. My parents are out of town so I'm going to buy a couple and stake them out in their yard so they'll see them when they get home. Looking forward to that text!

Nah too much effort for a holiday that just gets more and more "meh" every year. I give it about a decade before I'm the villain in a Lifetime original Christmas movie
