I've been on the other side of this: my partner was unemployed for a stretch of time whilst I was working. I didn't resent him at all, and I didn't feel as if he didn't deserve to have fun. I'm with him, not his job and not his employment status: I know it was really hard for him to be unemployed and it was really hard to remain motivated after receiving job rejection after non-response, and he needed that break from applying from jobs and helping around the house to relax. Your worth as a person isn't based on your employment.
