rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. I do like the idea of people using powers in creative ways (and I'd thought of apping a Zentradi there both as an obstacle [given the appetite and room taken up] and a resource [vast strength, size, possibility of using hair as rope]) and I'd considered just nerfing travel powers and the like, but... Yeah, stripping them away entirely might just be for the best.

You could always play around with partial approaches - like, regaining limited powers through playing makes sense as basically another sort of resource, and you could make sure it stayed appropriate to the game's overall progress.

Honestly I'd just go with stripping powers that create something out of nothing. Like someone can't create rain in a desert, but if they have a pond nearby that isn't completely dried up they could use that for a magical source for it to rain for a period of time. You could also add in a factor of risk where sometimes magic just won't work and could actually waste a resource. Like with the pond and rain example, the spell could fail and dry out the pond and now they have even less water.

You know, I like adding that element of risk to things.
