rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. i saw people asking stuff about how much of the game canon they should know in order to RP from the netflix series

the short of it is; not a damn bit

the long of it; for hector and alucard, the games can probably fill in some background and characterization details, but for the most part, Netflixvania is doing its own thing and has already contradicted the games in places. season 3 is definitely going to go off in its own direction, for sure. trevor and sypha had their characters basically invented from nothing for the series, as the games never gave them distinct personalities, and while carmilla had a bigger role in circle of the moon, it still wasn't a lot and got expanded brilliantly in the netflix series.

so basically if anyone is worried about that kind of thing; don't. just stick with what was in the show

this. knowledge of the belmont and tepes bloodlines can help fill in some background information, but consider the netflixvania its own canon, much like the lords of shadow series. different continuity, so don't worry about needing to know about the game canon! just have fun. :)
