rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i'm not going to say it's not hard, because it can be, but that's the exact reason it's not actually fair for you to expect people to carry you and to sulk like a baby when you're told that no, carrying you isn't fun.

nayrt but i actually love carrying people as long as they're at least capable of answering occasional questions, so this is less a universal thing and more a compatibility thing

it does irk me when people can't answer questions at all, but those people just flake anyway, so i assume op isn't one of them

I think maybe that you think I’m doing absolutely nothing when I’m just better at vibing off of another player and coming up with things together. I usually have a hard time with the base idea but as I said, I’m able to add onto it with additional ideas and details to flesh out the plot idea. I’m just bad with broad questions like “what do we want to do?” If you tell me “let’s do a Hogwarts AU,” I can come up with ideas using that as a jumping point. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. But because I suck at the initial ideas, I’m willing to do the boring stuff like writing the starters, and controlling NPCs if we need them, etc.
