at least now you can fight him on any alt high enough level to enter scarlet monastery; they don't have to be capped. that'll give you more chances per day to not get the mount.

So yeah, it's a waste of time queuing for Headless Horseman on sub-100 alts. That's probably why queues have been so long lately.

also invincible, rivendare's deathcharger and attumen's horse in karazhan. i've no luck with equine mounts. dragons? i have dragons galore. horses though, no.

hey other dh plyers; did you think about what kind of demon your demon hunter consumed in order to become what they are?

there's this pain in the ass on my server who's insisting my only choices are succubus and shivarra considering what the metamorphosis forms look like (and i don't know how he's getting 'shivarra' from vengeance's form). i'm pretty certain it doesn't matter what demon you killed, that's just what each spec's form looks like.

personally, i'm saying she nommed on a felguard.

I went with felhunter for my nelf DH. Dude's full of shit when he says shivarra and succubus are the corresponding choices to each spec; it doesn't matter what you choose and a felguard's as good as anything else.

I went with gan'arg for my belf due to her being an engineer, and well, it made sense. I know someone who had their DH consume an imp, and another who's got a felhound. TBH the only ones I would stay away from are nathrezim or eredar.

felhunter, since i remember hearing somewhere that's pretty much the default choice. no reason you can't bind other things though. whatever it is, it has no bearing on your dh's demon form.

one guy on my server's been weirdly insistent that my dh should have the essence of an aranasi and switch to vengeance spec, even though i told him that i have no desire to tank. a couple of guildmates said he messaged them out of the blue suggesting the same thing and kept trying to persuade them even when they said no. i think he's just going around bothering demon hunters, trying to get one to roll with his idea.

I did go with shivarra, but it has nothing to do with my spec. I'm Havoc, not Vengeance. That's just what each spec's form looks like, and it's shitty of him to act as if there are only two "official" choices.

As for the pushy aranasi guy, I'd consider aranasi to be a really, really unlikely choice for a DH's inner demon, and I'll tell you why. When the Illidari invaded Mardum, it's implied that the aranasi are new to them. One questgiver makes a comment like "A spider-demon? Like the Legion really needed spiders."

That says to me that they've never seen aranasi before, and since your character's already a DH and already has a demon bound to them, it can't be one of the spider-women.

So yeah he can take his barefoot DH tank with an aranasi bound to them and shove it.

ngl, i'm glad to see so many people here with felhunters/guards, imps and the like. seems like there's far too many dhs running around with nathrezim, pit lords, infernals, and even eredar bound to them.

infernals in particular i don't get. they're fel constructs made of what looks like stone. how does that have a heart for you to consume?

...i won't even start on the dh who has her race listed as 'dragon'.

honestly, for mine i went with aranasi. she's got the tattered wings glyph + fucking spider demons man

the part i'm actually having more trouble with is "why/how" my nelf girl becake a DH. did anything end up explaining how night elves got to outland with enough time to join the illidari to that intense a degree?

i'm assuming blood elves just came through with kael'thas's merry band of fuckups back in wc3, but idk

So after not touching WoW for nearly five years, I've been playing around with the starter edition and enjoying myself! But there's not really a whole lot of sub level 20 that's new to me, so I haven't really gotten a taste for what the newer expansions have to offer.

Basically, now that it's been out for more than a year would you say Legion makes diving back into the game worthwhile? I've been excited about the prospect of demon hunters ever since death knights and the concept of hero classes was introduced, but I'm not sure the initial $50 for the expansion and additional $15 a month for a subscription will be worth it. I've also always sucked at farming, so I don't want to assume I can reliably grind 200k a month for the tokens.

Legion has been a pretty good expansion. The story isn't totally dumb like WoD turned into, Demon Hunters are a blast, the raids are decent, dungeoning is a valid method of progression, the Broken Isles and Argus are pretty cool. Can't say you'll 100% like it, but I do.

As for gold, it's actually pretty easy this expansion. You get something called an Order Hall where you can send NPCs out on missions and it shits gold at you, plus making money on the AH is easier than ever. Half the time I don't even log in except to list auctions, send my followers on missions, and maybe bang out a few world quests, and over the last few months I've bought Destiny 2 and six months of gametime with a million gold still in the bank. Alchemy is a ridiculous money maker once you get the flask recipes, I don't even bother farming plants, I just buy herbs, make flasks, collect dumb amounts of money.

Legion is definitely worth getting back into the game for! My guild fell apart with Cataclysm and most of my friends left and I was just bitter over WoW for a long time and only played each expansion long enough to get a character to max level. For the most part, I felt like the expansions weren't very fun - Pandaria was interesting storywise but boring for everything else, WoD got a bit overdone (and while I liked garrisons, they felt awful after so long.)

But Legion has been different - while there is grinding, it doesn't feel like the endless grinding of WoD, demon hunters are awesome, the story is pretty solid, and the zones all have enough going on to make leveling easy. You'll get a character boost with the expansion so you can dive right into Legion content too. If you don't want to buy right away, I'd recommend waiting until Black Friday sales - Legion is sure to go on sale, so the initial investment won't be as much. Also seconding the anon above me - class halls will spit gold at you, and world quests often have gold rewards.

More faction war crap, another revamped old world, Nightborne say "hey Alliance thanks for the help with freeing us from literal demon hell, we're joining the Horde and trying to kill you now bye", pointless vanilla servers that will be ghost towns in a month or two, woo.

One thing the next expac has that I'm looking forward to is the change in leveling. Me, I'm going straight to Northrend at 60 and never looking at Outland again.

i wonder if it's because it's timewalking week, but tanks in non-timewalking dungeons seem to be exceptionally bad lately.

you know, the ones who just barrel through everything, don't bother establishing or holding aggro because they need to get to the next boss now now now, and are so far ahead of the group that the healer can't keep them alive.

i've been wanting to re-learn unholy since it's been a dog's age since i played it last, but i've resigned myself to being a frost dk forever now, since it's the only way i can keep up with these assholes.
