I'm considering going down this rabbit hole... With the huge convoluted mess fate/ can be sometimes, could any kind fateanons let me know which series' she shows up most in to get a better grasp of her character? (Also if you could let me know what media sources they are also I would really appreciate it!)

she's a major character in fate/apocrypha, which good for you just had an anime that started, but a good chunk of the novels have been translated, too.

I see there's also a manga, how does it measure up against the novels?

I can't say how accurate the manga is to Fate/Apoc, but in general if I were you I'd start with the anime. Assuming it doesn't do excessively weird shit it's probably going to be the most coherent/streamlined adaptation you can get your hands on.

Then I'd skim the novel. Assuming the Fate/Apoc anime is relatively faithful you probably don't need to read the entire novel (and the entire novel's untranslated, anyway), but Jeanne's a major character in it with chapters written from her point of view. Reading even just one of those will give you a better idea of her thought processes than any other medium.

like the other anon said, jeanne's in fgo and apocrypha, and a pretty major player in both. the apoc anime is currently airing and is scheduled for 25 episodes, and utw is subbing it here. so far it's good, but it's hard to judge from only two eps.

alternatively, translations of the first four volumes (out of five) can be found here, but personally i'd advise reading the manga and skimming the first volume because it's a massive textdump. i have links to the available chapters here. it frames some scenes differently from the novels but overall it's a great adaption so far imo, and a lot easier to follow.

fate/grand order wise, you'll obviously want to play through the orleans chapter--either in your own game or just youtube a playthrough. i've already dumped all her other stuff (valentine's day gifts, interludes, etc) that the english version hasn't gotten to yet in a reference post for myself + another friend so feel free to use that.

EDIT: oh i forgot she's in fate/extella as well! she's a side character in that so there's not a lot to it, but it got an official english translation unlike most fate/ stuff so look up her side story on youtube if you're interested. she has some good banter with gilgamesh and iskandar in there too.

no prob anon, i love jannu even if she won't come home to me in fgo. fate/ is both very big and frequently Bad so anything i can do to make it easier for people is a plus.
