The entire cast being 15 versus being in a range from 15-19 is very different though, especially when it comes to shipping with a character who could be as old as 25, was the original point. Which you seem to have... Missed?

1. monster/animal transformation/impregnation, written only. (monsters, transformation, and impregnation all work alone if i can't find a combination. actual bestiality is gross.)
2. it's a long story because it came to me in pieces. i was very sheltered re: sex while growing up, and the closest i came to it was a brief fascination with monsters, pregnancy, animals laying eggs on documentaries, and the idea that 1998 godzilla was "a mommy". when i was 8, my parents gave me a book about the human body and let me find it myself without saying a word to me. it explained sex in very frank terms and i went looking for more. i found it in books about animal biology. a couple of years later, i found an online archive of questionable wish-fulfillment smut about people turning into monsters/animals and having sex with monsters/animals, and it all came together.
visual porn has always been pretty useless for me, and i'm extremely particular about written smut. there's a lot of crossover into outright bestiality, mtf transformation "bimbo" content, furry style garbage, and tentacle/"gross" monster content that's all about degradation/"ruining". i'm really not into those.
3. just a handful of online friends have some idea what i'm into. i don't even look for rp, even though i made an f-list at one time. the shame is deep, and i have a low sex drive so my interest in smut is really fleeting.
4. i don't know and i don't want to know.
5. one time i tried to rp on f-list, thinking that chat might work for me because i lose interest too quickly for asynchronous rp.
some furry dude dragged some vanilla shit out for two hours and, when i tried to end it, declared he 'wasn't even started yet'.
i really should've stopped responding a lot sooner than i did.

He's gone from charging right in to thinking more about the people involved. Ep 5 had him questioning why the adults had lost their wills to fight and if it was worth starting with Earth with the plan to free the galaxy if that's how they felt.

I get what they're going for, but without advance warning these "curveballs" just kind of look like they didn't think something through and now they're scrambling to spin it so it sounds exciting instead of confusing or frustrating. Couldn't they have told new appers on arrival why they shouldn't expect to have a job? They could have cleared up a lot of confusion with straightforwardness in the first place. They're having issues right now and that's understandable, but this isn't the first time this modteam has left something unclear and then acted like the players were obtuse for not immediately seeing it their way.

Good idea: Changing a game mechanic that nobody uses and/or for IC reasons.

Bad idea: Changing a game mechanic without telling the players, regardless of how valid the change itself is.

right, this too! Also, some bigger american conventions are going on, I believe? lots of reasons for this month slowing down. I think it'll swing back up pace wise, next month.

It's part of a bigger problem I've noticed, anon. Breathe. I mentioned the jobs because that was the one with a recent, easily avoidable thread here with confused players in. It doesn't matter that they're not world breaking issues, the point is that there HAS been confusion and a little more transparency would go a long way.

do you know that they weren't ever going to tell anyone? maybe it was going to be revealed by the plot and all the whining made them reveal it early. like i said to ayrt, my character didn't get a job. i didn't know it was some big contentious issue. maybe they didn't either.

it's hardly a game mechanic because it has nothing whatsoever to do with how the game runs???? if they wiped the anomaly stuff and characters were ported in via a giant space worm crapping them out and putting them in a hunger games type sacrifice, i would agree with the upset. all this bitching over nothing is dumb af.
