I can understand getting overwhelmed! I kind of wish I knew this for the people I'm thinking of though, because there are definitely about three characters I've now written off completely because they keep dropping threads a few tags in, but I can see them tagging elsewhere. I'm not going to name names or speculate on why they drop (since it could just be not clicking with my character), but if it is you I think it's kind of a shame if people end up giving up on you just because you have more threads than you can handle at once.

Good luck getting new CR though! Maybe also try asking people to limit tag-ins to your top levels after a certain number? I think people will be understanding if you say you just don't have the time/energy to take on so many threads!

I can definitely come up with culling mechanics even in a game without a direct murder focus, no problem there, but that does raise the question of what would raise the stakes enough for the characters to get that level of involvement ICly. I guess it'll take a bit of trial and error until we find a method that works!

Thank you for linking me to that comm! I really like the general concept of it, it's just a shame it seems to have petered out at the end there. :( Something along those lines sounds like a lot of fun to me, both to mod and to play in.

To be perfectly frank, the politics one is actually the one I'm most interested in myself! It's just enough of a departure from the norm that I worry it wouldn't really work, but the only way to find out is to try it, right?

say your character needed rescuing though, does that mean your ability to play is dependent on other players?

1. Gangbangs and orgies.
2. My then-brother-in-law deployed and left his computer with us, then asked me to get the spyware off and clean it up since I'm the tech wizard of our family. While fixing it up and getting rid of all the extra stuff, I discovered his cache of porn from long before he'd ever even met my sister.
3. I only ever admit it to people I trust online or share it anonymously in kink threads or someone I'm in a sexual relationship with.
4. I don't know, and I don't ask.
5. I've never done anything involving this kink that isn't RP, but I feel like saying that even though I'm a woman, I like writing the male side of a MMM+/F scene more than the female side.

I guess in a way you could say that. Getting kidnapped by a ghost and therefore being the subject of a rescue log isn't an automatic "you're dead," but it would be as a result of your character's IC actions. On the other hand, though, IC actions on your part and on the other players' parts could result in your character surviving and rejoining the group!

Dying wouldn't necessarily be the end of your involvement in the game, either. Especially in one inspired by Fatal Frame, there would still be plenty to do after your character's been killed.

this right here is the kind of player you're going to attract, op. even if the person they were replying to was being a disingenuous tit, this kind of sincere, tonedeaf response to it is exactly the kind of typical shit mecha games bring in.

1. hypnotism/mind control where one person is completely helpless and at the mercy of another
2. i blame the media i consumed as a child personally, though i didn't realize it was a kink thing until well into puberty.
3. i'm open about it to people i feel comfortable with, though it doesn't exactly come up much. i'm pretty sure most of my rp partners know.
4. my brother has a thing for gas masks and chastity belts, but he doesn't know i know.
5. not really! a few really self-indulgent threads though.

sad things: I was cleaning out my room and found a few letters for past RP friends, that I'd written shortly before irl hit a busy period and made me forget all about mailing them. for a minute there I considered sending them now, even though I haven't spoken to any of the addressees in a good couple years -- not because I'm particularly interested in picking up contact with any of these people again, but just as a nod to old times and to let them know I still think about them from time to time.

but in the end I decided it was better just to shred them (with the exception of maybe one that I *will* send), because I remembered how almost nobody kept contact when I left RP. I don't begrudge them personally, but it does hurt that even the few players I talked to frequently about things other than fandom and thought I was genuinely close with (having helped one another through various irl hardships) started giving me fewer, increasingly lacklustre replies whenever I tried to strike up conversation after leaving DW. in the end, they faded out on me out entirely.

someone asked me why a while back I never talk about anything other than RP on my plurk anymore and I told them it's that I'm too busy to chat much nowadays, but really I keep a distance from people because friendships in this hobby feel so transient. I might have just been unlucky, who knows, but while I'm happy to be friendly and talk shop with people, I've no interest in discussing or my life outside fandom and RP anymore, nor engaging anyone about theirs.

10 contestants from 8 universes so 80 different fighters (Universe Seven being Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, 17, 18, Krilian, Roshi, Piccolo, Tenshien, and Buu). No flight, non biological weapons, or killing allowed. The whole thing is suppose to last 48 minutes. The main goal is the knock people off the edge of the arena and the universe with the most people fighting after the time is up wins. Unless everyone else is knocked out then they automatically win.

That universe gets to be the fifth universe that is allowed to survive, since Zen-oh was going to destroy the 8 weakest before he meet Goku.

i'm not into it and i would've preferred him to be asexual (which. i highly doubt he'd be romantic/ace because that's one hell of a minefield) but it's cute enough. as a couple or friends, they compliment eachother pretty well and have an interesting relationship so maybe i'll get into it later.
