Well, that depends on a bunch of factors.

If it was a longer, ongoing thread that had moved into a lot of chit-chat or low key things, I wouldn't care. We all need to prune threads like that from time to time. They may have even thought things had gotten to a pretty natural end point.

If it was a planned thread, especially one that is critical for some plot, I'd prod them about it. Especially if otherwise my character is stuck. If they continue not to respond or give vague excuses, i'd probably retcon that thread out of existing and not tag them again in the future.

If it was a spur of the moment / randomly tagged your new network post as it went up, it depends. If we've done longer threads in the past (even if it wasn't those characters), I'd shrug it off and retry some other time. Sometimes one particular thread just doesn't work. if we had never threaded before and if they were continuing to tag everybody else in that post, i'd let it go, but not make it a priority to tag that person in the future. If they are the one to tag me first in the future or if they approach me on a CR meme with concrete plans, I'm willing to give them a second honest chance, but without that, man, there's plenty of other people to tag with.

it's a product of tumblr's problematic culture, basically. people who like problematic content are abusive and need to be called out! which is why you have to justify every single thing you enjoy with moral superiority pulled out of your ass, even when it's painfully obvious you're full of shit. can't let anyone think i like dragon maid for the titties! i like it for the QUEER THEMES and FEMALE EMPOWERMENT!!!

I've been in dwrp for....jfc it's been like 8-9 years now, holy carp, and I'm as happy as I've ever been. Due to lack of time and not liking chitchat, I ended up dropping out of all games and going to
PSLs only, and now I have a stable of fun threads with scenarios I like, consistent and fun rp partners, great writing, pretty much everything I want out of rp. while i've made friends with a couple of my writing partners, most of them i met anon on rp with me or kinks you want to play threads, or by pinging or getting pinged by total strangers.

a lot of people don't want to admit their fave show is "problematic" so they've convinced themselves that a girl flat-out saying she likes another woman makes her show automatically free from "filth" despite evidence pointing otherwise

if the show was actually "problematic" and you dared to like it then you are automatically the devil

it's impossible to like a thing and be critical of it at the same time

admittedly, some of it is because The Discourse bullshit, and people who care more about making people feel guilty for liking trashy shows than actually being critical of those shows, but honestly people saying something you (general you) like has some shitty stuff in it isn't a personal attack most of the time.

What's the most bizarre, holy shit, did-not-see-that-coming ending to game you've ever seen?

I ask because I remembered how I used to read this Teen Titans RP on a forum back in the day. It went on happily for some time till everyone lost interest. It ended with Raven being shot in the head and killed by a bounty hunter set on preventing the end of the world. Instead, it allowed Trigon to take over her body. When the rest of the Titans tried to fight him, he used Raven's powers to launch a nuke to land in the city. The last post was Starfire's POV as she was immolated by the blast.

I love that all my gamemates are willing to tag my obscure characters with as much enthusiasm as I feel for them. Also, I've been in my games nearly a year, which is loner than I've been in ones for a very long time, so it's nice to know I finally got my RP groove back.

and while that ending wasnt a surprise given the setup, it wasnt the og end bc the story writer changed multiple times over modship.

and the last storyline mod that dropped decided to smear their ass later in a here's what I would have done and also here were my central npcs plot sekrits no one else on the mod team knew~~~

I'm not a mod, but I just really want to take the time to say that the way the playerbase has responded to the mods' need to take some time off lately has made me so proud and glad to be in this game. On the one hand, being gracious in the face of someone needing to put RL first really is basic human decency, but I've definitely seen too many situations where players are nowhere near that courteous. I'm happy to be playing with such understanding and kind people. ♥
