I actually don't even use plurk since I think it distracts me from doing tags. I rather focus on tagging these lovely people than plurking about random shit.

damn really? i was hoping this was run by someone new. as someone who was there the first time around and got burned when this mod abandoning the game, i'm not willing to get invested only for it to get ditched again.

this one player who gets on chat and harasses me about tags every few hours, regardless of what i am doing at the time and despite having been told to stop

i love the cr we have going but it just makes me not want to tag you :(

newer player here. it can be hard to settle in, but if you tag around and reach out with enthusiasm you will do fine. the ac system encourages backtagging threads to completion & most people are very friendly, understanding about backtags, and easy to thread with. there are some cliquey people but personally i don't think you can find a game without them. i've had nothing but good experiences with the mods.

however, you are in for at least a couple of months of waiting in queue before you get in. people do drop but it's hard to predict and so far i haven't heard of anyone waiting for less than two months. if that doesn't bother you, send in an app and we'd be more than happy to have you. my other piece of advice is that if you do app & get in, be proactive no matter what you stage in the plot you enter in. hit the ground running and get involved right away. as overwhelming as the plot can be for a fresh newbie, if you play your cards right, you can get a strong base of cr and character arc going early.

thanks for all the responses. i am definitely dropping her. but i can't express how hurt by all this. as others have noted, we were close friends. or i thought i was. and by close, i mean we regularly confided in each other about the kind of stuff you wouldn't confide to your priest.

so yeah, at one point i did think she was dead because she wasn't answering emails, updating social media, and mutual friends had no idea what happened to her either. going to her family wouldnt work, as she's always been estranged from them.

the more i think about this, the angrier i get. a simple "i can't talk, i'm busy" would have been okay with me. at least i would have known she wasn't abducted or something totally crazy. i wouldnt have spent months on end worried sick and praying about her. i kind of want to tell her off, but... no. it's over. i should just let it go.

honestly, i'm petty as fuck so if told someone repeatedly to stop bugging me and they kept bugging me, i would delay tags to that person specifically or drop our CR entirely. i don't have time for this annoying shit, lmao.

You're a mod, you can't just not read the app. And I'm not totally comfortable delegating the responsibility to someone outside the modteam, although I guess that's an option if they're someone I know well.

I'd spoil myself and take that as a lesson for next time. If I care this much about a canon, I should check it out on release instead of waiting all month.

I've said this before, but I think games should ditch strike systems and instead have players earn one time exemptions via AC rewards.
