i'd just bite the bullet and spoil myself. yeah it would have been nice to experience the canon without any spoilers, but it's not that big of a deal, and it wouldn't be very fair to the applicant to refuse to review their app when they stayed within the rules and everything.

i or one or more of my mod team would have to suck it up. they're within their rights to app by your own game rules. they aren't doing anything wrong. which isn't to say you/your mod team is by not having played it/seen it yet. but someone's going to have to deal with being spoiled if you want to be fair.

because he got chummy with Rodriguez, who had the same dream. they're both rich enough now they can make it happen regardless of what the studio system says (though if gits bombs, like it looks its going to, they have an uphill battle ahead of them getting it marketed)

i feel like this is something you should take into consideration when you take a mod position. if they're within the rules, at least one mod needs to suck it up and judge the app fairly like they would any other canon.

Is there an extension or app for chrome that will insert html in a comment based on input? I used to use ljtools for firefox and I had it set up to where I could type "/img" and it would change that to the appropriate img tag with whatever url I had on clipboard. Or I could just type /url words/ and it would turn that into a link with 'words' as the text.

Anyone know a way to do that with chrome? Or an idea of what the hell I should search for in the chrome store? Because just looking up "html" gives me a trillion page editors and that's not what I want. I just want to not type a bunch of <'s :C

I have that actually, but all it does is add buttons that format for text post, action post, and imgur icons. The latter two aren't useful to me (cause text post only lets you edit the format of the text, not the actual html it uses, and you have to link a specific imgur album for the icons) BUT I've got the first set up to insert links. Would just be nice to have something that I could use to bold or set custom ones is all. Thank you tho!

personally, the only thing that really makes sense to me as an "AC reward" is something like priority slots in events. players that you can count on to be active are the ones you trust to take your metaplot and involve lots of other characters in it.

everything else seems super pointless. rp is a hobby. the act of rping itself is supposed to be fun. if you need to have a carrot waved in front of your face to have fun, that's a problem either with the player or with the basic design of the game. if player inactivity is hurting the game, bump your ac up or provide more setting or metaplot to get your players interested again.

ac rewards as they're usually done, where players being active leads to characters getting resources, has always felt to me like "you must spend this much time not having as much fun as you could have had before you are allowed to have more fun", which just feeds into a cycle of treating rp like a chore and procrastinating on it. giving the characters those resources from the beginning lets the characters do more varied and interesting things with the setting, which should naturally lead to higher activity because players actually have new and exciting things to thread about.

how do you deal with two tittybabies who had a falling out and now demonize each other whenever the other one comes up in conversation?

one is especially bad about it. like "they're not sick from their serious fucking health problem, they're just lazy and irresponsible!" type of cray-cray. the other one is more mild about it in a "pfft, they're batshit, llke i trust anything they say about anything" kind of way.

the first one definitely comes off as a bratty teenager, doesn't help that they dropped out of high school and then dropped out of college because it was "too boring" even though somebody offered to pay their tuition.

avoiding either of them is unfortunately not an option.

ignore it and change the subject. generally when people keep bitching about the same topic over and over, it's because they're being allowed to. you might think you're being a good friend by saying "uh huh" "oh wow" "damn" etc but it's really just enabling them to keep going on like a broken record.

so a conversation should go like:

you: hey did you hear about (something completely unrelated)

or maybe:

person: they're not sick from their serious fucking health problem, they're just lazy and irresponsible!
