This game is an erotic parody of fairy tales, myth, legends and history set in a far away, fantasy Kingdom ruled by a tyrant enchantress known as The Mistress. You can expect a lot of raunchy elements with minimal seriousness involved.

Your character has been summoned through universes to entertain The Mistress and bring new life and entertainment to her Kingdom. Your character can choose the life of an Apprentice (to learn magic from The Mistress), Guard (to guard The Mistress and her Kingdom) or an Outlier (to be useless and free) and earn coins through sexy quests each month. Coins provide the chance to earn old or new powers, buy some cool shit and party.

UGH @ the chain of "no idea" responses. this doubly pisses me off when i'm googling a problem i have and all my fucking results are threads where this happened to OP.

How do you even stay inspired for a character for that long?

How is it shameless for them to write their characters' powers as given in canon? That's what people are supposed to do. It's incredibly ridiculous to expect them to live down to the example of that one weirdo who's butthurt because they decided to play a character with damage reduction as though he doesn't actually have damage reduction, and has now decided to get all bizarrely competitive over it.

I mean, if we were actually talking about gamebreaking superpowers, that would be a different story, because those do have to be reined in to keep from ruining everyone's day, but healing factors? Those aren't anywhere near "need to be nerfed by common consensus" levels.

Murdergames are a lot of fun, I played in one myself once when I had a clear schedule. But all my butthurt to people who are already in another game, get into a murdergame, don't hiatus, and do their other game tags like once a week while boomeranging the shiny.

why not just not tell your friends you're apping to a place, and don't talk about it on plurk? making a new handle seems like a lot of work and people are going to assume it's because you're trying to hide something anyway.

the closest thing i've done is just pick up new characters and play them around without mentioning it to anyone. i actually prefer it though i can't put my finger on why-- it's freeing? less pressure/accountability?

i love this tradeoff because of how efficient it is.

a certain person in my game has abandoned their (incredibly popular) character for months. Now that AC is coming up, they've gone into full shake-cry, gave a billion excuses, tagged for a day, then abandoned again

now they're "taking time off plurk" to throw a tantrum. they seem incapable of taking any responsibility for their consistent neglect of this game, but don't want to tag with their character. they could make it all stop if they just dropped already, but instead... time off from a character they don't play anyways.

I've done everything to separate myself from them, but until they drop, it's a thorn in my side because they're a castmate

I love murdergames as well and ended up just dropping all my other games to play in them exclusively. Nothing wrong with being into the shiny game that isn't going to be around forever, just have the decency to communicate with others and the mods and let them know. If someone gets butthurt when you did communicate this fact, well fuck them.
