blu. i just got the blu life max, and comparatively to other smartphones, it's hella cheaper and just as effective. which is a good thing to look for in case you need a travel phone or are prone to breaking/damaging your phones. 145 canadian for one on amazon (they're cheaper in the us, from what i hear), and i've seen them go a lot lower for deals. the one i got comes with marshmallow and is a 5.5 screen. most blu phones are lollipop or up.

if they take that angle, i'll consider myself intrigued, but i'm cynical about whether or not it they'd pull it off well, if they bother to address that at all.

This doesn't fix anything though. Even if you have it emblazoned everywhere IC and OOC that going home is a no-go, I can guarantee you'll still get a large amount of characters thinking there must be a way if they work on it hard enough.

i've actually been waiting for over a month and they couldn't be assed to contact me until i threatened to leave unless they contact me by x day, and then they called me on x day right before they closed.

Basically it's a jamjar mechanics problem, which is why I'm suggesting that the mechanics be thought out to avoid it. There are absolutely ways. "You're a clone with a synthesized personality and memories" is one SF compliant one (which also allows for resurrection mechanics, updates, etc.) Another might be, as the above anon suggested, affirmative IC consent from characters, for instance with a threat to the whole multiverse that needs them to stop it. There's no reason to keep using the same lazy "you've been pulled here from your home universe, we don't know why, here's all the standard ooc mechanics for going home temporarily that will create the same IC dynamic as every other jamjar game" tropes.
